Community Guidelines

Jiyo Suthar is a space built for Suthar Samaj — a community rooted in craftsmanship, dignity, and mutual respect. These guidelines keep it that way.

1. Who We Are

Jiyo Suthar is the official community platform for Suthar Samaj — the community of Lord Vishwakarma's descendants who carry the tradition of skilled craftsmanship. Our app brings together matrimonial matching, community networking, job boards, business listings, and more — all within the values of our samaj.

By using Jiyo Suthar, you agree to these guidelines and our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. The Golden Rules

Everything else flows from these core principles.

✓ Treat every member with respect

Every person on this platform is a member of our samaj. Interact with the same respect you'd show an elder or a respected craftsman in your community.

✓ Be honest and authentic

Use your real name, real photo, and accurate information in your profile. False profiles undermine trust in the entire community.

✓ Respect community traditions

Our matrimonial matching follows Suthar Samaj tradition — same-gotra matches are not permitted. Please respect this community rule.

✗ No harassment or disrespect

Do not send unwanted messages, make offensive remarks, or harass any member — especially regarding caste, family, or matrimonial rejection.

✗ No fake profiles or impersonation

Creating profiles with someone else's photos or identity is strictly prohibited and will result in permanent ban.

3. Matrimonial Conduct

Send interests only when genuinely interested — do not treat this as a casual swipe app
If someone declines your interest, respect their decision. Do not send repeated requests or direct messages.
Keep conversations respectful and focused on getting to know each other
Involve families appropriately — this is a platform for serious matrimonial connections
Report any suspicious profiles or inappropriate behaviour using the Report button
18 years minimum age is strictly enforced for matrimonial profiles (DPDP Act 2023 §9)

4. Community Content (Feed, Events, Posts)

Share news, events, and updates relevant to Suthar Samaj
Do not share misinformation, rumours, or unverified claims
Political content should be neutral and community-relevant — do not use the platform for political campaigns
Respect members' privacy — do not share others' personal information without permission
Event listings must be genuine Suthar Samaj community events
Memorial (Shraddhanjali) posts should be respectful and appropriate

5. Business Directory & Work Board

List only legitimate businesses and services that you personally own or operate
Job and work postings must be genuine — no scams or misleading offers
Do not post pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing, or get-rich-quick opportunities
Service providers must deliver on what they advertise — reviews are public and permanent

6. What Is Never Allowed

Hate speech or discrimination against any caste, religion, gender, or region
Explicit, adult, or sexually suggestive content of any kind
Threats, bullying, or intimidation
Spam or unsolicited commercial messages
Sharing anyone's private information without consent (doxxing)
Content that violates Indian law, including the DPDP Act 2023, IT Act, or IPC
Accounts created for minors under 13 years of age

7. Reporting & Enforcement

Use the Report button (⋯ menu on any post or profile) to flag violations. Our moderation team reviews reports within 48 hours.

Consequences for violations:

Warning — First offence for minor violations
Content removal — Removed without warning for clear violations
Temporary suspension — Repeated offences or moderate violations
Permanent ban — Serious violations (fake profiles, harassment, illegal content)

Appeals: Email support@jiyosuthar.in with subject "Appeal: [your phone number]". We respond within 7 days.
